Problems-

I was making the corridor in Maya. Whilst I was making this, there were two problems.
One of these problems was the fact the "edit mesh" and "mesh tools" menus weren't showing up on my Mac. I resolved this situation playing around with the settings until i came across one drop down menu which would change my Maya from rendering to modelling. This is a picture of the menu -

The second problem that I had was that the tutorial was an old, meaning that some if the things in the video were either not in the version of maya I was using, or were in a different place. Because of this, I couldn't work through the video. However, to carry on with the work, I used the video as something to roughly copy and found my own way to make the corridor. Here is a photo of the beginning of my  corridor compared to the tutorial's -

When I was adding more to my corridor, I couldn't resize my model to make it smaller, as it is not all one piece. To fix this, I deleted all the sides of the frame but one, and made that smaller. I then duplicated this part of the frame 3 times to complete the structure. However, this led onto another problem. I found rotating all the parts hard as I couldn't get them in line with each other. To resolve this issue, I lined all the parts of the frame with the grid on the floor.
